Pressing the metal dome is a momentary switch contact that becomes a normally open switch when used with printed circuit boards, flexible circuits, or thin films. They are placed on the printed circuit board by attaching transparent film with foot buckles. In a stationary state, the metal dome switch is located on the outer contact of the main pad.
